About the Management
Guru Nanak College of Education for Women Kapurthala is run by Montgomery Guru Nanak Educational Trust, Jalandhar. This trust is playing a commendable pioneering role in the field of education since 1922 when a primary school was opened at Sahiwal, District Montgomery, now in West Pakistan. After partition of India, in lieu of the property left behind, two sheds at old court Adda Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar were allotted and a foundation of primary school for girls was laid down. Since then the trust is continuously marching ahead on the roads to progress by providing quality education.
Today, from one primary school that was opened in 1948, MGN Educational Trust has bloomed into eight well established educational institutions. These are:-
- MGN Girls Senior Secondary School, Adda Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar (1948)
- MGN Khalsa Senior Secondary School, Jalandhar Cantt (1953)
- MGN Khalsa High School, Basti Bawa Khel, Jalandhar (1954)
- MGN College of Education, Jalandhar (1955)
- Guru Nanak College of Education for Women, Kapurthala(1966)
- MGN Public School, Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar (1974)
- MGN Public School, Kapurthala(1994)
- MGN Public School, Urban Estate II, Jalandhar (2004)
The history of MGN Educational Trust and its institutions bears testimony to the fact that they had a glorious past, they have a glorious present and we can say with sufficient assurance that they will have glorious future.
In a crowd of thousands student, Montgomerians with self-confidence and latent faculties fully developed, can easily be spotted out.
